Mark 11:22-24
22 And Jesus answered saying to them, "Have faith in God.” (“Have the faith OF God.”) 23 Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. 24 Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.”
Always anchor your faith on the bedrock of God’s faith. Discover what God is believing about your situation and then you will be ready to boldly speak to your mountain. Make that discovery while meditating on the Word.
For instance, if you’re seeking healing, invest time in Psalm 103:3 asking Him if you should be claiming to heal now or in a future time. Wait patiently while you are asking, He may desire that you get closer than you usually do.
Praise Him, thank Him, love Him, listen to Him, confess any sins, receive forgiveness, and then say what He says. If He says your healing is for right now, tell your mountain to jump in the sea, and don’t doubt, but believe that what you say is going to happen and it will. You may need to speak to your mountain for some time before healing comes. You may need to drive doubt out of your mind – this can be a fight you must win and your victory will be in what you say. God has put power in words and they can come from Him into your heart and out of your mouth as you cooperate in delivering His faith into your life.
Andrew Murray, the author of Divine Healing, taught me two things about being healed:
When you feel a symptom say, “Lord Jesus, I receive my healing.”
When someone asks, “How are you?” say, “I’m being healed.”
In my case a number of years ago, I caught a life-threatening disease – I lost 73 pounds and got pretty frail. At around 18 months Kathee and I were walking into a lunchtime restaurant when God touched and healed me. I sat down and ate more lunch than I had in a long time.
I’ve had other issues since, how am I? Being healed, maybe in heaven this time! Kathee has suffered a connective tissue disorder for many years. We continue to trust God for His perfect time for her deliverance.
