Much Fruit

Galatians 5:22, 23

Child blessed by God's love

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Notice the grouping of the fruits: love, joy, peace – patience, kindness, goodness – faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

The first group pertains to personal, emotional well-being which the Holy Spirit wants to establish as a foundation in your life. When present and active in you these fruits will bless you and everyone around you. Discover the qualities of God-love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Joy is happiness that transcends happenings because it’s derived from heavenly gifts. Being tapped into that source means you can be joyful anytime, anywhere, all the time.

Peace is the tranquility that results from God having control of your life, leaving nothing to worry or stress about since you know He will supply every need you ever have.

Again, these fruits are not the result of struggling and stressing but yielding and surrendering. The Holy Spirit must pollinate you for fruitfulness, and He does that when you yield yourself to Him and allow Him to have His way in you. As you yield, you will feel love, joy, and peace well up in your heart and you will feel great!
