Hope That Doesn’t Disappoint

Job 14:7, Psalm 31:24, 38:15 and 62:5

Job 14:7 7 For there is hope for a tree, when it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its shoots will not fail.

Psalm 31:24 24 Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD.

Psalm 38:15 15 For I hope in You, O LORD; You will answer, O Lord my God.

Psalm 62:5 5 My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him.

Hope is powerful, it is sometimes all that holds you together long enough to finish the task, or even to start it. When you have hope, you can touch what you can’t yet see, you can forge ahead because you know He has everything under control.

When you have hope in God you don’t need to leverage or manipulate people, you can call on Him for needed strength and patiently wait for your desired outcome. It’s not too late – even if your tree gets cut down, it will sprout again, and the shoots won’t fail. Let hope in the Lord make you strong so you can take courage. Be careful where you place your hope, people will disappoint, institutions will fail, programs will fall short.

Only God is 100% reliable, hope in Him, anchor your faith in Him.
