4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
A spiritual war is constantly being waged. It’s a war between heavenly creatures and demonic entities who were thrown out of heaven along with satan. The devil has set his sights on dethroning God and destroying creation.
So he has attacked brand new believers and veteran saints alike, dispatching these lying dark spirits to cause fear, lust, greed, sensuality, immorality, envy, and every other sin, trying to destroy reputations, ministries, and faith.
John assures believers that though many antichrists have gone out into the world greater is He who is in you than he who Is in the world. There have been conflicts in the church – God has resolved them for the greater good God has resolved them while protecting the innocent. Believers have defected from the faith only to be restored to greater things.
Yes, my friend, greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!
