Hebrews: 2:10 and 2 Corinthians 3:18
Hebrews 2:10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
As you travel life’s highway you often wonder why things happen like they do. So much of what’s going on doesn’t make sense and looks so obvious that God could with a blink fix any or all of it. It’s possible to reject the grace He is so faithfully dispensing and slip into depression and bitterness. Actually, He is working His eternal plan whereby He is bringing every born-again believer into His glory. You can look at any circumstance or event and while you may not understand it you can know with certainty that He has not lost His grip, nor is His purpose fading out. It’s all as it should be and one day you’ll see the front side of the tapestry with the beautiful picture as it makes sense of the tangled mass of knots and threads on the back that were necessary to create the artwork.
Did you notice what was necessary for Jesus to endure in order to make his people sharers in His glory? Physical suffering displaces the natural soul life that needs to die so that the Christ-life can be manifest and glory be revealed.
From now on interpret the events of your life as tools God is using to bring you into His glory, and don’t struggle, but relax and believe Him to get the work done.
