Psalm 139: 7-11
God Is Omnipresent – Everywhere At Once
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me. 11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night,"
God not only knows everything, but He's also everywhere at once, seeing and controlling everything.
David tries to figure out if there is one solitary place a man can go, that God is not already there. Heaven? No. How about Sheol? Not there either. Fly on the wings of the dawn, or go to the remotest sea. Even there God's guiding, providing hand is present making light and darkness into one. Don't you just love God? Isn't He simply awesome? He is your rock, anchor, protector, deliverer, best friend, defender, great reward, comforter, strength, encourager, and no matter where you go, He is with you and all these things to you. Relax, He’s got you covered.
